Venue Booking & Ticketing

Overview

A booking and ticketing app for a local music venue. Bands ask for dates, the venue fills its calendar, and tickets for each show go on sale from the same system.

Challenge

Small venues usually book bands through email threads, texts and a shared calendar, then sell tickets through a separate service with its own fees and its own copy of the show list. Dates get double-held, show details drift between places, and nobody has one clear view of what is booked and what has sold.

Solution

One system that follows a show from request to sale. Bands send booking requests against the venue’s open dates. The venue reviews them and confirms the show, and a confirmed show becomes a listing with tickets on sale on the venue’s own site.

Current status

Live and in use at a local music venue.

Vision

A booking and ticketing system a small venue owns outright, so the calendar, the bands and the ticket buyers all stay with the venue.
